Dharabi is a village in Chakwal District, Punjab, named after the Dharab River that runs nearby. It is located between the cities of Chakwal and Talagang, with the M-2 motorway crossing the Dharab River close to the village. Dharabi covers about 1.6 km² and is situated at around 408 metres above sea level. One of its major landmarks is Dharabi Dam, a reservoir designed to hold about 37,000 acre-feet of water. Although planned to irrigate approximately 6,400 acres of land (largely through gravity flow), the dam has faced issues since its completion in 2009 due to terrain elevation and design challenges. Despite that, Dharabi is being promoted as a tourist destination — developments such as Dharabi Lake, boating, walkways, and link roads have been planned or partially implemented to draw visitors to its natural beauty.
